|Kenneth A. Miller, Jr. & Betty Virginia Miller
| Betty Virginia Miller, 80, of Fisher, WV passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 in
Wardensville, WV as the result of an automobile accident. Her husband, Kenneth Albert
Miller, Jr., 79, passed three days later, Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Winchester
Medical Center in Winchester, VA, from injuries sustained in the same accident. They
were an amazing example of a true love story, one that lasted a lifetime and now in
eternity with their Lord and Savior.
Mr. Miller was born on January 16, 1938 in Falling Waters, WV, and was the son of
the late Kenneth Allen Miller and Susie Reid Miller. He proudly served his country in the
U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by one brother and one sister.
Mrs. Miller was born on April 18, 1937 in Fisher, WV, and was the daughter of the
late Zackarias Reel and Eliza Catherine Snyder Reel. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Ken and Betty were poultry farmers and owned and operated Miller Poultry
together. They also worked for Miller & Son Truck Repair and M&M Transportation. They
were members of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where Betty was a member of the
Oak Grove Young Women’s Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Miller are survived by their two sons, Kevin Miller and wife, Peggy, and
Kenneth “Andy” Miller and wife, Stephanie, all of Fisher, WV; six grandchildren, Nathan,
Angela, Sean, Alex, Jessica, and Cody; and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Corbin.
Mr. Miller is also survived by one brother, William A. Miller of Fisher, WV, and two sisters,
Mary Catherine Hite of Martinsburg, WV and Elleanor Louise Lingang of Bloomington, IL.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017
at the Believer’s Victory Center in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be held at 11:00
a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the church with Pastor Harold George officiating.
Burial will follow at the Miller Family Cemetery, Fisher, WV.
Arrangements are under the direction of Elmore Funeral Home, Moorefield, WV.
