|Linda Marie Shears
Linda Marie Shears, age 69, of Moorefield, WV, passed this life on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the University
of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. Born on September 21, 1943 in Moorefield, WV, she was the daughter
of the late Philip Wilson Inskeep and Ruth Mae Ratliff Inskeep. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her first husband, Leon Dunkle, in 1977, and one sister, Lea Gregory in 2009.
Linda was a member and the treasurer of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Moorefield, WV. She was also a
member of the Durgon CEO Group. Linda was a homemaker, an avid antique collector, a gardener, a painter of
landscapes, and a professional Picture Framer. She was an author, having written two books on the art of Crafts.
Linda was also a former owner of Heather Hen Crafts in Keyser, WV.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Vance Shears; four daughters, Billie Jo Crites of Madison, VA,
Bobbie Jo Kesecker of Gambrills, MD, Stephanie Lynn Miner of Keyser, WV, and Heather C. Johnson of Glen
Burnie, MD; one sister, Phyllis Mae Sirk of Old Fields, WV; one brother, Philip Wilson Inskeep of Petersburg, WV;
and five grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Elmore Funeral
Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the
Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Rev. Steve Haptonstahl and Lewis Paugh officiating. Burial will follow at the
Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV. Pallbearers include: Anthony Haggerty, Zachery Crites, Andrew Johnson,
Randy Rodrigues, Kevin Kesecker, Mark Sirk, Katelyn Kesecker, and Hannah Kesecker.
