Bryan Robert “Bobby” Johnson
  
    Bryan Robert “Bobby” Johnson, age 81, of Rock Hill, SC, formally of Lavale, MD and Moorefield, WV,
passed this life on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, NC. Bobby was born on
October 29, 1932 in Frostburg, MD and was the son of the late Bryan C. Johnson and Pearl Arnold Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Johnson.
    
    Bobby was a retired truck driver from Celanese Trucking Co., and later worked for Gary Wagner Trucking
and Clinton Ford, all of Rock Hill, SC. He was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC
and U.S. Army Veteran. He was also a member of the Moorefield Masonic Lodge #29 AF&AM. Bobby was a
direct descendent of Governor Thomas Johnson of Colonial Maryland, who was also a friend and Supreme
Court Justice under President George Washington.
    
    He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Kuykendall Johnson; his daughter, Debra K. Loar and her husband,
Gary, of Cresaptown, MD; his son, Thomas B. Johnson of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren, Travis W. and
Chelsea Broadwater and Jacob Loar, all of Cresaptown, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tyler
Broadwater, also of Cresaptown, MD.
    
    The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2014 at Elmore Funeral Home
in Moorefield, WV. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Olivet
Cemetery with the Moorefield Masonic Lodge #29 AF&AM officiating. Memorial Donations may be made in
Bobby’s name to the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1830 Celanese Rd., Rock Hill, SC, 29732.
